Colleges
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering has three colleges: the Jedlik Ányos College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Neumann János College of Informatics and the SZESAT Interdisciplinary College. The colleges provide a platform for student talent management, for high quality professional activities and continuous professional development.
JEDLIK ÁNYOS COLLEGE OF MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Created in 2009, it brings together the university's vocational clubs and competition teams in mechanical and electrical engineering.
The head of the college is Dr. Dániel Pup (pupd@sze.hu).
The sections of the college:
ART participates in the Formula Student series with an internal combustion engine fitted formula car of their own design and construction. Its divisions are Aerodynamics, Driverless, Electronics, Powertrain, Vehicle Dynamics, Chassis and Management.
SZEngine is the only team in the world to design, manufacture and develop an internal combustion racing engine for teams competing in the Formula Student series. Its divisions are Management, Design, Electronics, Test Bench, Hybrid Powertrain Development, Thermodynamics and Test.
SZEnergy develops and builds electric vehicles and participates in Shell Eco-marathon energy efficiency competitions. Its groups are Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, Autonomous Vehicle Development and Management. |
NEUMANN JÁNOS COLLEGE OF INFORMATICS
The Neumann János Informatics College was founded in the summer of 2014.
Its objectives include establishing cooperation with companies, organising professional excursions and factory visits, starting courses of its own organisation, contributing to various projects, supporting the participation of members in TDK and research activities. | https://njszk.sze.hu/ |

SZESAT INTERDISCIPLINARY COLLEGE
In 2018, a student group was formed at Széchenyi István University with the aim of moving a parabolic antenna and building a satellite tracking station. SZESAT was a section of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and its activities have been continuously expanded with new projects. Since 2024 it became an independent college.
The activities of the SZESAT team include communication via amateur radio satellites, balloon experiments, reception of data from meteorological satellites, Earth-Moon-Earth communication, construction of its own satellite module and satellite, and construction of the SZEPPELIN airship. The college presents its latest results at the annual national Conference on the World Telecommunication Day. |
The head of college is Dr. Péter Vári.
